Lieutenant Daniel Loop

Position: FF EMT

I started with the Amity Fire District in 2011 when I was 16. I joined the student program after  Retired Chiefs Hubbard and Aschim visited the high looking for students that were interested in volunteering with the fire department. At that time, we were still at the old station, I attended a few drills there before we moved into the new station. I went through the Yamhill fire academy in the spring of 2011 to work on getting my Firefighter 1 certification. In 2012 I got certified as an EMR. After I graduated high school, I went to Chemeketa and got certified as an EMT. Through the years the fire department has helped me grow as an individual, during that time as well I have been able to obtain multiple fire certifications and move up the ranks of the department. I am now currently a Lieutenant with the department and have been given the opportunity of being hired on as one of our part-time employees.
