Amity volunteer firefighters annual tree of giving

Each year the Amity Fire District partners with First Federal of Amity to provide a tree of giving. Wish lists of local children are placed on the tree after Thanksgiving and community members can pick a tag to adopt a child. Gifts are returned to the Fire Station or First Federal and then the volunteers deliver them just before Christmas.

Applications for the Tree of Giving open annually in mid-November.

The 2021 application process is now open and the application can be found here.

AMITY'S ANNUAL PARADE OF LIGHTS AND TREE LIGHTING

Each year on the first Friday in December, the Amity Firefighters decorate the Fire Engines with holiday lights and parade thru town. We bring Santa into town on the back of our 1946 Ford Fire Engine. Santa stops by City Hall and with the help of the Mayor, he lights the City Christmas Tree.

Thanks to Amity DIG, Firefighters hand out activity packets to children under 12 along the parade route again in 2021. The parade will be Friday December 3rd and leave the Fire Station at 5:30pm and follow the attached route listed to the left.

We would like to thank the City of Amity, DIG, and our own Firefighters for all the work they put into sponsoring the annual Parade of Lights.

Easter Egg Hunt

Each year your Firefighters hide eggs filled with goodies for youth in our fire district. Recently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we've moved the Easter Egg Hunt from the Amity City Park to your own front yard.

In 2022 we hope to bring the traditional Easter Egg hunt back to the Amity City Park.
