Easter Egg
Hunt |
This annual event is co-sponsored by the
Volunteers, the Amity Valley Women's Club and the Amity Lion's
Club. The hunt is held annually on the Saturday
before Easter at the Amity City Park. Children from ages 0
through 9 are invited to attend for free. |
| Pancake Feed
/ Antique Car Show |
This annual event is co-sponsored by the
Amity Valley Women's Club. The feed is held annually on a
Sunday in July at the Amity City Park. The Volunteers
participate by assisting with setup, cooking, and parking
antique cars. |

Christmas
Candy |
Each year the Volunteers fill
approximately 1000 sacks of candy for the elementary school
children at Amity and Perrydale schools. The candy is
purchased by the Volunteers with money from our Christmas Fund. |
| Tree of
Giving |
Every year the Volunteers participate in
the community Tree of Giving program. Each year as the
program nears a close, there are always tags left on the
tree. The Volunteers gather the remaining tags and
purchase gifts for those families. The Volunteers also
wrap and deliver all the gifts prior to Christmas. The
gifts and wrapping materials are purchased with money from our
Christmas Fund. |

Texas Hold 'em Tournament |
In the Spring of 2009
the Volunteers started a new tradition, a Texas Hold 'em
Tournament. 100%
of the proceeds from the sale go into our Community Support Fund. |
|
ATV Parade |
In the Fall
of 2008, the Volunteers began sponsoring the Amity ATV Parade. The
parade began in 2004, initially to make a world record for the
most ATV's in a parade. The parade will now be held every year, on
the second Saturday of September, in remembrance of 9/11. The
entry fee is one new toy for the tree of giving and two cans of
food for the Amity Food Bank. |
