The Amity Fire District began
sponsoring Amity's Annual ATV Parade in 2008. The parade began in 2004,
initially to make a world record the the most ATV's in a parade.
Although Amity made the world record with 262 ATV's, another parade in
Kentucky took over the record with 1,138 ATV's.
The Parade is held every year on
the second Saturday in September, in remembrance of 9/11. The parade
benefits the AFD Community Support Fund, as well as the Tree of Giving
Program and the Amity Food Bank.
